Empowering elderly Women Through Self-Care: Accelerating Progress 8th March 2024

  In celebration of International Women's Day and in alignment with its theme of "Invest in women: Accelerate progress," Essanyu Lyamukade Wange Foundation, in partnership with Inory Afros Natural Hair Salon, a salon specializing in natural hair care, celebrated it to honor and uplift elder women in Nakawuka Katalemwa Cell. The event commenced at 10 AM with a warm welcome hosted by Mukyala Zawedde, followed by a nourishing breakfast and engaging interactions. The focus then shifted to a session on hair maintenance, highlighting the effects of hair dyeing, particularly at an older age. Elders were encouraged to embrace their grey hair as a symbol of wisdom and life experiences, fostering self-acceptance and empowerment.
